Following the heat races on Saturday night at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway the heavens opened with persistent showers that ultimately forced the management to cancel the remainder of the program.
Both the Super Sedans and Super Rods were preparing for their finals while celebrity Go Kart races and other fun events were also completed before the rain started.
The Demo Derby was eventually run in wet and slippery conditions in front of the appreciative crowd.
Avalon Raceway now sets its sights on this Friday and Saturday night’s Australian V8 Dirt Modified Title that is set for decision with close to 40 cars ready to do battle.
