Geelong’s Avalon Raceway fires into life TONIGHT for the preliminary heat races and Twin Sprint Features as part of the Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship. The action continues Saturday night with a further two rounds of heats before the ‘big dance’ for the 2012 Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship where a deserving winner will be crowned.
Can three time consecutive champion Peter Britten achieve the impossible with a four peat? The only place to find out is Avalon Raceway tonight and tomorrow night.
Saturday’s pre event parade will feature past and current champions and will be a fitting tribute to those who have shaped the class over the years. The pre event festivities will begin just after 6pm.
A great field of Modified Production Sedans will be on the program both nights with tomorrow’s West Coast Classic being the highlight.
Public gates will open at 4pm both nights with racing set to begin at the usual 7pm start time.
