This weekend’s Victorian Sprintcar Title at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway is also the continuation of the season long Essendon Ford Sprintcar Track Championship. With the recent President’s Cup completed, 21 year old James McFadden is the current tear away leader with a whopping 150 point lead in the race for the brand new Ford Fiesta.
McFadden’s nearest rival is Stephen Bell while a mere 20 points separate Jamie Veal, Tim Rankin and Bell.
The other scenario is that Bell needs a win or a runner up finish to leap frog McFadden as does Veal while only a win for Rankin will elevate him to the top spot.
The only other question remains, how many more if any rounds will McFadden contest before the track championship final on Good Friday?
