This Saturday night Speedcars take centre stage at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway when the mighty midgets contest the opening round of the Lucas Oils Southern Speedcar Tour. Echuca gun Travis Mills leads the field that includes four interstate racers intent on securing the opening round glory.
The second meeting of the season also includes a strong field of Junior Sedans that will contest the opening round of the MDTC Superlaps Series while a huge field of Wingless Sprints will also be on the card along with Modified Production Sedans.
With the Victorian Wingless Sprint championship set to be decided in March at Avalon, a strong 35 car field has registered their intentions to compete on Saturday night. In fact it’s a big season for Victoria in the division with February’s national title down for decision in Warrnambool.
Just two weeks ago David Murcott was victorious in the Sprintcar Jackpot Invitational and to see who can take the win on Saturday night you will have to be trackside.
