Kevin Swindell is America’s hottest driver on earth after winning his fourth straight Chili Bowl classic at Tulsa, Oklahoma over the weekend.
Facing the toughest competition of his career, including his dad Sammy, NASCAR aces Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and World of Outlaws regulars like Daryn Pittman, Kevin outran the field to beat dad and Brad Sweet to the flag after 55 absorbing laps.
Over 240 entries were accepted by organisers and every night of the Chili Bowl Nationals was a sell out.
Kevin has a couple of days break before climbing on a jet and heading to Melbourne for the Essendon Ford President’s Cup sprintcar classic at Avalon Raceway on Wednesday night, 23 January.
Pittman will accompany young Swindell as will Danny Smith who are all confirmed starters in the $10.000 to win mid week show at Avalon.
“We are really pleased to have the guys in Victoria for not only our show but also the classic at Warrnambool,” said Jeff Drew today.
“It’s hard to win one night in Tulsa, catch a plane the next day to Melbourne and race a sprintcar at Avalon and Warrnambool then catch your breath and fly home for some more races in Florida,” said Drew.
The President’s Cup classic also carries points towards the Essendon Ford $20.000 Sweepstakes that awards a new Ford Fiesta to the champ at season’s end.
