National sprintcar champion David Murcott is so ready for some Avalon Raceway action he can already hear the drums beating.
The quietly spoken racer has secured a number of his major successes at the tricky Geelong oval.
He rates the track as one of his favourites and the $10.000 to win Sprintcar Jackpot there on Saturday night, November 8 has his full attention.
“A lot of other tracks have opened, but Avalon is unique in that its lights turn on and the promoters post a 10K winner’s bounty first night out,” Murcott said this week.
The champion will proudly display the number one on the tail tank of his gleaming sprinter at Avalon on November 8.
The competition awaiting him can be likened to an automobile Armageddon with World series titlist Steven Lines, Sydney hat trick specialist Jamie Veal, US trail blazer James McFadden, Tassie dynamo Shaun Dobson, SA’s Luke Dillon and WA based Robbie Farr.
It could well be the race of the summer!
