James McFadden has firmed in favouritism for the 10K to win Sprintcar Jackpot at Avalon Raceway next Saturday night.
McFadden was tempted to go to the US this year and race in the major league World of Outlaws, All Stars and King of California series for the Gaerte team.
He performed like the champion Aussie race fans know him to be and even bigger things are expected of him in the US throughout 2015.
McFadden and his team contested the SA Sprintcar Masters at Speedway City overnight where he started from position nine in the main and was runner up to local Scott Bogucki who bolted from the front row and was never headed.
It was his summer hit out before moving across to Geelong and preparing for next Saturday night’s Combined Waste Jackpot classic.
One of his toughest rivals is likely to be Jamie Veal who was in top form at the Eureka premiership round at Moama on Saturday night.
This follows his champagne form in Sydney over the past month where he won three successive main events.
