Victoria is presently undergoing a mass resurgence in winged sprintcars as fans will discover when the green flag drops at Avalon Raceway on Saturday night.
The Salt Electrical summer series has 31 confirmed starters, including Jessica Moulden, former Australian formula 500 champ, Ebony Hobson, winner of the most improved driver last season and Bianca Reeves, a five year veteran of the sport.
Andy Hibbert, Moama’s Sam Wren and Rhys Baxter lead the guys in the premiership opener.
The success of the wingless sprintcar category continues to stagger most long term enthusiasts, but not wingless spokesman Troy Small.
“We have every racing number between one and 100 taken and another 15 cooling their heels waiting to race,” Troy said today.
And he is a fan of Jessica Moulden who he believes is a big chance on Saturday.
“She is a great dirt racer with a ton of experience and I rate her as a top three chance on the weekend,” predicted Troy
Super sedans and Formula 500s will also be on the program that starts at 7.00 p.m.
