Californian Kyle Hirst has never been known to take prisoners on the racetrack.
Kyle and Geoff Ensign were the American privateers that made their presence felt against the horde of fellow countrymen at Avalon last season.
Kyle has just finished off the US season with a spectacular win in the ‘King of California’ series and will replace Shane Stewart in Luch Monte’s Milwaukee Tools #77 sprinter.
Monte hand picked Hirst as his primary driver this season and the young American will debut the red Milwaukee team machine at Avalon on Tuesday night, December 30 in the WSS Speedweek round.
“It’s terrific to see Kyle propelled into such a good ride with Luch for the WSS series and he’ll fire at Avalon like he’s got rockets under his feet,” remarked Raceway spokesman Jeff Drew.
The Sprintcar Gold Cup will precede Speedweek on Boxing Night with the Victorian championship and President’s Cup to follow in Jabuary.
Saturday night’s Speed Festival at Avalon Raceway will feature speedcars, sprintcars, hot rods and super modifieds from different eras with the Beasley brothers speedcar tribute classic not to be missed.
Action on Saturday night will start at 4.00 p.m. following static displays and show and shine during the afternoon.
