Enzed World Series Speedweek is off and running with Tuesday night’s meeting at Avalon Raceway holding some interesting keys to probable outcomes.
Point Cook’s David Murcott won the opener ay Speedway City in Adelaide on Boxing night while Matt Egel slipped into victory lane at Murray Bridge last night.
The competition has not started well for defending champion Steven Lines, but expect him to turn that around on his home turf at Mount Gambier tonight.
Jamie Veal, winner of the Gold Cup at Avalon on Boxing night over Tim Van Ginneken and fast finishing Brad Warren, is considered a ‘special’ at the place for pace on Tuesday.
The way he dispensed with the opposition on the weekend was most impressive.
Veal vs Lines around Avalon will be terrific, but throw in Murcott, Brooke Tatnell, US flag bearers Kyle Hirst and Danny Holtgraver, Sydney’s Ian Loudoun and the Avalon ponies and you have a sensational race in prospect.
It will be a sprintcar specialist’s meeting with heats, time trials and preliminaries from 7.00 p.m.
Admission prices are Adults $30, Juniors 12-16 $10 and Kids 11 and under free.
