Avalon Raceway opened the season with four classes of speed on Saturday night.
With a clear sky, perfect conditions and over 60 race vehicles filling the pit area, race fans where treated to a packed night of thrills, spills and entertainment.
The Salt Electrical Wingless Twin feature closed the bill with 25 laps of hard charging racing. V28 Luke Weel took control during lap 20 after some well timed re-starts and held out V2 Travis Miller in 2nd and V83 Todd Hobson for 3rd.
The Speedcars delivered a taste of pace with V10 Travis Mills taking the win from V71 Domain Ramsey and V97 Kaidon Brown. 3 flips during the race made for some cagey re-starts.
The Mod Prods feature was won by a fast Matt Gerlach from Russel Bent and Darren Cockerill, torquay teenager Key Walters held on for 4th.
The door bashing Street Stocks main event was taken out by the 46 Flash-Anthony Beare, with Mick Clark and Stuart Robinson filling the podium.
Our next race is Saturday the 14th of October with the Sprintcar Eureka series hitting the clay.
