The Combined Waste, $10,000, Jackpot Invitational was won in spectacular fashion by Jamie Veal in front of a packed house at Avalon Raceway.

With a format the works in reverse to a standard night, the action started early with two 25lap qualifying heats. Doukas, Lines, Hunter, Anderson, Hutchins, Lumbar, Jones progress to the semi, so to Dobson, Parr, MVB, Sutherland, Murcott, Veal and Milburn from heat 2.

The Last Chance qualifier gave us Walker, Mollenyux, O’Keffe and Charge, while Tancridi flips is corner 2.

The semi was fast and action packed. Doukas pulls in on lap 20 with power steering fluid blocking his vision, while Jones and Lumbar are out with 1 lap to go. Dobson rolls over the line giving up the lead due to a lack of fuel.

The time trial decided grid positions for the final with ‘Quick Time’ going to Veal with a 11.749sec single lap. With a display of great driving, Mollenyux Β progressed through from the Last Chance qualifier to position 2.

12 laps are placed on the lap counter, with the promise of $10,000 for the winner. Jamie Veal leads it from start to finish in a spectacular driving display. Darren Mollenyux in for second and Steven Lines for third.

Our next event is our Retro Night on the 25th of November featuring Speedcars and Vintage Sprintcars.
