Saturday night at Avalon Raceway delivered great racing to a vocal and appreciative crowd.
The first ever Powerclean Power House night gave speedway fans VMPA Mod Prods, Super Sedans, V8 Dirt Mods and Street Stocks to enjoy. The VMPA Mod Prods brought their Tritech Lubricants series to town and 26 cars battled it out for the podium. Three rounds of heats set the points and after a pole shuffle the lap counter was set to 30 for the A Main. The final rolls out with series points leader and last feature winner at Avalon, Andrew Blackwell in solid form as is Brock Atkins with with a heat win, Torquay local Kye Walters sits in second place for the series and is keen to gain valuable points, ad to this the N5 of Robbie Faux being driven by Trevor Mills and the crowd is set for a ripper of a final. After 29 laps it comes down to the last corner and in a finish that can only be decided by transponders its Trevor Mills from Andrew Blackwell and Brock Atkins in for the final podium spot.
