The race to win the Avalon Raceway Track Championship for Sprintcars is heating up. With $20,000 on the line for the winner and only 2 more chances to gain valuable points, the Great Southern Showdown on March 3rd is shaping up as the pivotal race of the season. The Top 10 is a testament to the drivers who have performed well all year and committed their time and effort into winner the coveted title. Corey McCullagh holds a well deserved, albeit slender lead from previous bridesmaid Jamie Veal with Shaun Dobson and past winner Brett Milburn all within striking distance. Will this be the race that decides the winner or will the Speedway Gods provide another nail bitting finish to the 2017-18 season? We will find out on the 3rd of March with the Great Southern Showdown doubling as part of the Eureka Garages and Sheds series with presenting partner Battery World Geelong and Waurn ponds
