His name was already on the cheque before the hugely successful Easter Trail round one on Good Friday. With a stellar season on the Avalon clay, including 3 first place finishes, Jamie Veal ended the track championship with the first of 3 Easter Trial history making wins. With the number one spot locked in it became a battle for the next 4 places. In the end it would come down to just 30 points separating 2nd,3rd and 4th. Last seasons champion Corey McCullagh leapfrogged the field with a hard fought second place to secure the number 2 spot, then came Darren Mollenoyux just 10 points shy with James McFadden in 4th by just 20 points, Brett Milburn rounded out the top 5.

The other track championship decided on Good Friday was the Super Rods. Their performance at Avalon was riveting, with plenty backing the return of the class for all three trail nights.
Shaun Walsh was declared Super Rod2018-19 champion with Neville Gange and Corey Degliatis completing the podium.
