Avalon Raceway gets set alight with power this weekend as the big V8 Dirt Modifieds sponsored by Rocket Signs get to eat up the clay. In the much anticipated first hit out for the V8’s, Todd Hobson, who has been a powerhouse thus far in the Wingless Sprint category will step back into his familiar seat in the Dirt Modified.
The v5 of Stephen Lodwick is no stranger to the pointy end of Avalon Raceway, setting up for a big first round at the place for pace. With years of laps behind him on the infield track of Avalon with the speedway karts, Troy Scott is hoping to find some speed headed into this Saturday night aboard his v99 Dirt Modified.
A healthy field of Formula 500s debut for 2019/20 this weekend all fighting for victory in the TJ Chassis Victorian Formula 500 Stampede Series. Australian Champion Josh Buckingham headlines the list of 25 nominated drivers ready to do battle.
James MacDonald is hot off form from Tolmer Speedway in recent weeks, shaping it up to the best in the class. The Van Ginnekens suit up alongside eachother, Michael in the V8 and Leigh in the V15 for what will be a ferocious field of possible victors.
The Dutton Garages VSDA Speedcars return for the second time this season, after putting on a clinic of racing in the top three earlier.
Joe Lostitch has been rampant and will again be searching for the Win. Trying to deter him though, will be Travis Mills who struggled with mechanical dramas the last time he took to the raceway.
Andy Pearce will aim to make his mark on this round, along with Parker, Gore and Domain Ramsay making his Speedcar appearance at Avalon.
