As Covid restrictions begin to relax in regional Victoria. Avalon Raceway’s Rod & Jeff Drew have made the tough decision to abandon the planned practice meeting Saturday 18th of September and the October meetings on Saturday 2nd and Saturday 16th October. While regional Victoria has seen some relaxing of restrictions we cant see Metro Melbourne emerging any where too soon, “hence to be fair we will wait and see when Melbourne gets out, then we can hopefully kick start our season” said Rod Drew
Rod and Jeff went on to say we look forward to the coming season which will now kick off on October 30th with a Halloween Special for the kids featuring Street Stocks, Speedcars and V8 Dirt Modifieds.
With so much uncertainty around staging events we need to wait and see what restrictions the Victorian Government requirements will be, with a lot depending on vaccination rates the Drew brothers went on to say.
