Avalon Raceway in Consultation with Speedway Australia has made the difficult decision to postpone the next meeting Oct 22.
This will allow for ongoing works on the catch fence to be completed in time for the Combined Waste Sprintcar Jackpot on Nov 12th. Works include new posts and 5 new cables and new mesh. This is stage one of the catch fence upgrade, with stage two to be completed next year.
Avalon raceway is currently considering a new date to move the October 22nd Sprintcar fireball derby to, ideally it will be before Christmas.
On a positive note, Speedcar racer Harley Bishop is on the mend and in good spirits.
