RACES IN THE BOOKS AND GRINS FROM EAR TO EAR
Avalon Raceway Lara ripped back into action for a welcomed return again with racefans getting their much needed fix once again. And on top of that the drivers getting to scratch their itch with local racing surviving weather finally!
Nick Parker would win the opening heat race of the Speedcar “Skip’s Race”, Travis Mills would take out heat two with Dillon Ghent narrowly winning heat three and heat four would see Nick Parker taking out both of his potential wins.
The Main Event would eventually see Travis Mills rein supreme in the electric 10V with Nick Parker in second separating Caleb Mills on the third spot of the podium.
In the V8 Super Sedans it was Lucas Roberts in the iconic V0 winning heat race 1 with Jamie Collins getting the job done in heat race 2.
Lucas Roberts dialed in the 0 in the final to claim the top step of the podium with Jamie Collins in second clawing at the door. Mick Nicola Jnr would be the third car home in a thriller.
AMCA Nationals has always been exciting at Avalon and tonight was no exception. Frank Thierry made his trip worth it taking out heat 1, going on to see Kent Davey take the win in heat 2, and Justin Richardson locking down heat 3.
In the end it was all too good by Stephen Hopkins in the V8 taking out a dominant 9 second lead home to the chequers. Frank Thierry second and Grant Cullinger would run home and round out the AMCA Field.
In a tidy group of Street Stocks it would be Scott Secombe in the fresh racecar taking heat race 1 victory, and Leigh Gooding hammer home in heat race 2.
Dale Morrison would cause the upset though, with Ricky Throckmorton in second and Leigh Gooding claiming the final podium position.
Avalon Raceway could finally put on what they had been trying for so long to do and entertain racefans by the masses once again. Avalon Raceway and its staff will now turn their eyes to back it up for the Sprintcar Fireball Derby Next Weekend on December 10th!
