When rain became present at Avalon, the team did what they do best, and that is to dig in and get the job done.
The crew rallied around and turned what easily could have been a wash out, into another high calibre night of action at the Place for pace.
Tim Rankin became the man to beat by finals time, he would win the 25 Lap Formula 500 Senior feature from Justin Bowen, Ben McLeod, Chad Bell, Bailey Stephens, Indy Rae, Jack Nolan, Jett Hart, Riley Amato and Liam Russell making up the top ten in the main.
Heat Race winners of the Formula 500 Seniors were Bailey Stephens, Tim Rankin, Brooke Buckingham and Rob Rankin.
B Main Transferees were Lauren Bowen taking the win, with Darcy Giblin, Aaron Cook, Bradley Malone, Greg Dunmore and Alex Ryan transferring.
Formula 500 Juniors would see Aston Rodrigues taking the big victory in the 15 Lap Main event. Aston was victorious ahead of Rusty Ponting, Koby O Shannassy, Rowdy Andreatta and Maddox Gibbs making up the top five. The top ten then included Hugo Chivell, Blaxx Caton, Chevette Muir, Zac Stevens and Caleb Langdon.
Heat winners were Aston Rodrigues in heat one and Rusty Ponting in the second heat.
David Barrie was the victor of the Street Stock Main event. Barrie finished first ahead of Leigh Gooding, Ricky Throckmorton, Mark Purdie and Hayden Glare. The followed Jensen Wilson, Jordan Ellifson, Ashley Fox, Matthew Martin and Jared Wilkinson.
Heat winners were Leigh Gooding and Ricky Throckmorton in the Street Stocks.
Daryl Hickson would lead the Victoria #1 Machine to the top step in the V8 Dirt Modified Main event. Hickson finished ahead of Todd Hobson, Michael Ardley, Warrick Taylor, Matt Reddecliffe and Tyler Scott. Heat Race winners were Todd Hobson and Daryl Hickson in the second.
Despite the rain planning an initial delay, things panned out A-Ok and fans were treated to a delight from start to finish in the compacted race program tonight at Avalon Raceway.
