Super Speed Night promises thrilling action this Saturday night, as Avalon Raceway will play host to a triple threat of Speedway classes.
Headlining the event is the Speedcars as they kick off Round 1 of the Baretta Racing Chassis Southern Speedcar Tour for season 2024.
A lucrative $1000 prize has attracted a formidable lineup of 18 drivers, featuring the likes of Nick Parker, Kaleb Currie, and Dillion Ghent, all boasting early-season success.
Mitch Saundeson aims to emulate Zoe Pearce’s previous season trajectory by transitioning from the F500 ranks to make his debut in Speedcars.
Caleb Mills will be under the spotlight as a one-car operation but will be determined to make a statement this season.
The return of Super Rods adds another layer of excitement, with drivers such as Jamie May, Stan Marco Jnr, and Jason Kavanagh renowned for their ability to race from top to bottom.
Victorian champion Jacob Pitcher stands out as a top contender, while iconic Super Rods figures like George Woolstencroft, Peter Duynhoven, and Paul Verhoeven will keep the Lara locals happy.
Completing the trio is the action-packed Street Stocks.
Notable mentions include Leigh Gooding, hoping for a less spooky ride this time, while drivers Tim Hutchinson & Troy Polley, will be eager to showcase their best performance as the Panther Tyres track championship points battle resumes.
