Official Release: Avalon Raceway
In a dazzling display of talent at Avalon Raceway last night, the Junior Stars illuminated a beautiful Lara evening.
In the Junior Sedan New Stars category it was Round 4 of the 2023/24 series, that seen Axel Robinson showcased both skill and composure, securing victory over Cruz Carlin, who, after initial challenges on the start line, made a strong recovery for second place. Jaylen Night secured a solid third position.
As the Top Stars took the stage thanks to Simmos Fiberglass, a fierce battle for the lead unfolded, with River Patterson overcoming damage from hot laps to power to victory. In a close contest, James Oliver settled for second place, while Miller Throckmorton impressed throughout the night, securing the final spot on the podium.
V8 Dirt Mods delivered an exciting show, with Brett Clarke, widely known as “Boots,” dominating the competition with a commanding nearly 2-second lead over Steve Milthorpe, who made a remarkable return to the track after an almost five-year hiatus. Daryl Hickson explored multiple grooves in an attempt to gain ground on the front-runners, settling for third.
The return of Speedcars to Avalon Raceway brought excitement, with Luke Storer securing victory in the feature set up by pole positions in a nail-biting heat race, taking home a $1,000 thanks to Baretta Racing Chassis’s.
Nick Parker made a strong bid for the top spot during a late restart but settled for second place. Former junior F500 driver Mitch Saunderson, with just a handful of meetings under his belt, impressed the crowd with a confidence-boosting third-place finish.
Avalon Raceway would like to acknowledge all Clubs & Associations for a fantastic night, along with race fans in attendance.
