As we gear up for the penultimate round of the 2023/24 SRA Sprintcars series, The Place For Pace Avalon Raceway is thrilled to welcome back the Things with Wings, alongside the V8 Dirt Modfields, for a thrilling and family-friendly Saturday night.
With both series and track championships hanging in the balance for Sprintcars. Drivers are eager to finish strong. With 34 Sprintcars already locked in and nominations still open, the competition is fierce. Meanwhile, 11 drivers are primed for the third round of the Murray Atkin Cup for the V8 Dirt Mods.
Leading the charge is 2023 Classic winner Brock Hallett, facing off against heavyweights like V8 Supercar star Cam Waters and eight-time SRA Series champion Matthew Reed.
Avalon favorites Brett Milburn, Chris Solomon, Grant Anderson and former rookie of the year Jordan Rae are all geared up for action.
Adding to the excitement, Speedcar drivers Kaidon Brown and Joe Lostitch are set to take on the Sprintcar challenge once more.
Terry Rankin, Marcus Green, and Parker Scott, understand the importance of points in these final rounds as they occupy top 10 spots on the leader board.
In the points battle, Bobby Daly maintains a commanding lead over Terry Rankin, while Tate Frost eyes a shot at the $10,000 prize, just five points behind Hallett in the Avalon Raceway track championship.
The V8 Dirt Mods return after a thrilling showdown earlier in February, with Steve Milthorpe hungry for victory. However, contenders like Darly Hickson and a duo from Reddecliffe’s will provide stiff competition.
Watch out for young gun Tyler Scott, no stranger to Avalon Raceway, as he jumps back into action on the back of Speedway Karting competition, while Todd Hobson takes the reins of the Cool Freighters 84 car.
