This Friday night, Avalon Raceway is thrilled to kick off the celebrated Easter Trail, a revered Speedway tradition that has captivated fans since 1980.
Prepare for a riveting three-night starting at the Place for Pace, showcasing Sprintcars, Super Rod’s & Fireworks!
The line-up boasts an impressive roster, featuring talents like Jock Goodyer, Brock Hallett, Tate Frost, and Bobby Daly, the recent SRA series champion, all set to do battle on track.
The Easter Trail has long been a highlight of Sprintcar racing in Victoria, with legends such as Steve Brazier, Brett Lacey, Bill Barrows, and Gary Rush among its past champions who will it be in 2024?
This year adds fresh excitement with the likes of young sensation Jordan Rae and seasoned racers Matthew Reed, Tim Hutchins, and the in-form Brett Milburn, who has consistently finished on the podium in recent races.
In the mix of competition, Daniel Pestka and Glen Sutherland, hailing from South Australia, are determined to leave their mark on Victoria before heading back to their home turf for the second leg of the Easter Trail at Borderline Speedway on Saturday night.
The series culminates at Premier Speedway on Easter Sunday, where the ultimate victor will claim a grand prize of $7000, along with the chance to race for $5000 each night.
This event also doubles as the decisive final round of the Avalon Raceway track championship, where Brock Hallett leads the charge, closely followed by Grant Anderson, both vying for the grand $10,000 prize.
The Super Rods are not to be missed, as they compete for the 1134 3CS Cup and the Max Dumesny Motorsport Super Rod Easter Trail. This event features competitive drivers like Jacob Pitcher, Jamie May, and defending champion Jason Kavanagh.
Beyond the race, fans can anticipate an array of family-friendly entertainment, including a stunning fireworks display that promises to light up the night sky.
The engines start roaring at approximately 5:30 pm.
