Official Release: Avalon Raceway

Avalon Raceway, Lara, Victoria, welcomes the commencement of the 2024 DIRT X IND Australian Pro Sprintcar Championship.
Practice sessions are set to get underway tonight to acclimate interstate drivers to the renowned “Place For Pace” Avalon Raceway, as we gear up for the two-night showdown on Friday, April 12th, and Saturday, April 13th.
Each evening will have action starting at approximately 6:00 pm, with gates opening to the general public at 3:00 pm.
Vintage Sprintcars will also make a appearance on Saturday night

Defending champion Mark Caruso, reigning since his triumph at Murray Bridge in March last year, faces stiff competition from a full field of 57 drivers.

Among the contenders are Brett Milburn and Robbie Farr, eager to etch their names once again on the honour roll. Notably, Ryan Jones aims to clinch a historic fifth championship title.
Jock Goodyer and Tate Frost, hailing from Tasmania, are regular contenders here at Avalon Raceway. While Frost has a feature win here already, it will be Goodyer who will aim to emulate previous dual Sprintcar Category title winners Jamie Veal and Robbie Farr.

Interstate challengers, including the much-loved Libby Ellis, alongside fellow Queenslanders Brodie Davis and Kinser Claridge, who have all featured on the podium in recent times.
Victorian drivers, led by Jordyn Charge, Jordan Rae, and Josh Buckingham, seek to change the narrative of the South Australian stronghold on the title but will still face a host of South Aussies including Daniel Pestka, Ricky Maiolo, Keke Falland & Ricky Maiolo.

Dirt X Ind, the title sponsor, seizes the opportunity to shine as Paul Solomon takes the wheel, with Chris Solomon adding a dash of family rivalry to the mix.

Jack Lee has consistently showcased his speed on numerous occasions and aims to demonstrate his skills behind the wheel of the V25. Meanwhile, Michael Trancredi’s performance leading up to the Victorian Title event in Portland solidifies his status, having secured his third state championship win and now setting his sights on the coveted Australian title.
Join us for practice sessions from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by the Calcutta auction at 6:30 pm at the Australian Speedway Hall of Fame, located behind turn 2.

Avalon Raceway would like to once again thank Dirt X Ind for their support for this event in becoming the naming rights sponsor.
