🏁 FLYING RYAN STEALS THE SHOW 🏁
Offical Release:
Avalon Raceway
South Australian star Ryan Jones delivered an emotional victory last night at Avalon Raceway, claiming his first-ever 410 Sprintcar feature win at the venue for Wright Motorsports in the S63.
The Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek kept fans on the edge of their seats with action-packed drama from qualifying to the feature checkered flag.
Starting from P13, Jones battled through the mid-pack, taking advantage of double-file restarts. With 10 laps to go, he seized the opportunity to pass Cam Waters, who had dominated much of the race. Jones powered away to victory, while Waters held on for second, and Grant Stansfield celebrated his second consecutive podium finish in third, a big moment for these three drivers in their respective Sprintcar careers.
Brandt Sprintcar Speedweek leader Lachie McHugh had a night of highs and lows, starting with the challenge of transferring through the B-Main. However, he proved why the A1 is so prestigious, charging through the field to claim an impressive fifth place finish. Just ahead in fourth, Luke Dillon continued his strong Speedweek campaign, adding another solid haul of points to his tally.

The Doolan’s Heavy Haulage Sprintcar Track Championship, presented by Camden Signage & Transall Motors, experienced a significant shake-up in the standings after several top-10 drivers faced mixed results. Notably, Brock Hallett and Jamie Veal both suffered DNFs following a dramatic incident on the front straight. Stay tuned for updated leaderboard details.
In the Junior F500 Speedweek, presented by PMP Chassis, Hugo Chivell was unstoppable, leading all 20 laps to secure the win. Speedway Karter Cody Malley pushed hard but couldn’t find a way past, finishing second, while Rusty Ponting continued his streak of podiums with a hard-fought third after starting deep in the field.
