COCKERILL TAKES WESTCOAST CLASSIC!

The 2025 Westcoast Classic has been run and won with a commanding performance by Darren Cockerill. From the drop of the green flag, Cockerill set sail for home and never looked back, delivering a flawless drive to secure the victory. Ben Barker continued his strong form, charging through the field to claim second place, while the ever-popular Torana held its own, showcasing one of the last of the legendary Australian icon.
The Wingless Sprints provided plenty of action as over 40 drivers contested Round 3 of the Victorian Super Series, proudly presented by DIRTXIND. Blaine Densley was class above of the field, earning a pole position start after sweeping his heat races. Densley led the 30-lap feature while looking comfortable & confident, ultimately taking the win by a commanding 2.5-second margin. Recent back-to-back Summer Slam champion Travis Millar gave chase to secure second, while Thomas McDonald held firm to round out the podium in third.
Avalon Raceway also hosted the Outlaw Karts, an exciting class perfect for both newcomers and seasoned drivers returning to the sport. In the Open class, Chris Nankiville staged a thrilling late-race pass to take the win. Meanwhile, the Payne family showcased how competitive family racing, can be with Megan Payne finishing second and her father, Jamie Payne, securing third.
The Box Stocks junior class once again highlighted the next generation of racing talent. Harry Ramsay, a name synonymous with Avalon’s rich history, took a well-deserved victory. Aston Tuckett followed in second, while Bodhi Doig completed the podium in third, proving the future of racing is in great hands.
