VEAL BRINGS THE HEAT IN FIREBALL🔥

All 30 laps were needed to decide last night’s Routley’s Bakery Fireball Derby, delivering a grandstand finish for the ages.

Jamie Veal etched his name into Fireball Derby history which honors the late Bill Evans, but the result doesn’t tell the full story. For 29 laps, Veal stalked Jock Goodyer before striking late — sweeping past in the SWI Racing V35 like a thief in the night to claim victory.

Goodyer, piloting the Jack Lee Racing V25, fought hard but would ultimately have to settle for second, while Brock Hallett brought the G&W Racing Q5 home to complete the podium in third.

The Super Sedans delivered outstanding racing, with Mick Nicola Jnr proving too strong to take the win. Jamie Collins threw everything at the reigning Victorian Title holder but had to settle for second, while Shane Belk drove a consistent race to secure third.

With the win, Jamie Veal now leads the Doolan’s Heavy Haulage Track Championship, alongside presenting partners NAPA Geelong, Transall Motors, and Camden Signage & Building Services by 30 points over Jock Goodyer & Daniel Pestka.
