2026 President’s Cup Receives Prize money Injection

The 2026 Kubota President’s Cup presented by Penrite Oil, has received an eleventh-hour prizemoney increase ahead of what promises to be another storied edition of Avalon Raceway’s Blue-Ribbon event.

With defending Champion Ryan Newton, kicking off his Classic week last January with a $10,000.00 President’s Cup pay-day, the 2026 President will walk away with a cool $12,000.00.

In addition to the $2,000.00 increase for first place,  the support Penrite Oil have recently provided Avalon Raceway, has resulted in a further $3,000.00 being added to the A-Main purse, with every starter now guaranteed a minimum of $900.00 to start the event.

Despite a somewhat weather affected start to the season, the Drew Family and Venue Management were determined to reward those that have supported Avalon Raceway via the Doolan’s Heavy Haulage Sprintcar Track Championship, as well as what is expected to be an influx of Australian and International Talent.

“We are extremely grateful for the support that both Kubota and Penrite Oil have afforded us for the 2026 President’s Cup. We feel we have put together a package, inclusive of format and prizemoney that will appeal to most teams as we strive to continually keep the President’s Cup, along with Mount Gambier’s King Challenge, as an integral part of the Classic week”, Speedway Operations Manager David Mills said.

Nominations for the President’s Cup are now open, with discounted early nominations open until 5pm EDST on Wednesday January 14, 2026. Late nominations will then be accepted thereafter in the lead up to the event.

“For those teams, set in their plans, we ask that they nominate at their earliest convenience to assist with event planning and for those still considering, we hope as many as possible choose to come and compete with us on January 21”, Mills added.

The updated nomination form, including the new prizemoney structure is available to teams via the scca.fueled.au portal, this Is also where teams can securely nominate for the 2026 Kubota President’s Cup as presented by Penrite Oil.
