With a huge night of Sprintcar racing set for this Saturday March 21st at Avalon Raceway, fans are reminded that on-track action will begin earlier than usual, with cars scheduled to hit the track from 5:40pm.
The pit walk where we welcome fans into the pit area prior to racing great opportunity to meet your favorite driver, buy merchandise and checkout just how cool a sprintcar is will still remain from when gates open at 4pm till 5pm
The earlier start allows both Sprintcar classes the time required to complete engine starts and hot laps, while also helping ensure the event finishes at a more family-friendly time — something that has been strongly supported by fans at recent Avalon events.
A massive field of almost 60 Sprintcars has nominated for the Great Southern Showdown, proudly supported by Daimler Truck Geelong, along with the Little Showdown for LS/360 Sprintcars.
This event also features another round of The Doolans Heavy Haulage Sprintcar Track, with $10,000 on the line, proudly presented by NAPA Geelong, Camden Signage & Building Services and Transall Motors.
It’s shaping up to be a huge night of racing.
