SPRINTCARS MARCH MADNESS

This Saturday night, Avalon Raceway comes alive with a massive double-header, featuring two Sprintcar classes hitting the track.

With on-track action from approx. 5:30pm, expect a huge night of racing with nearly 60 Sprintcars (30 Open & 27 LS/360) nominated for the Great Southern Showdown, proudly supported by Daimler Truck Geelong.

It’s a stacked field of proven winners and headline acts, led by current and two-time National Champion Jock Goodyer, headlining some of the very best in the country.

Brock Hallett, a former Track Champion and the 2023 Classic winner, adds serious firepower as he continues his charge in the Doolans Heavy Haulage Track Championship with points at a premium in the final remaining rounds.

He’s joined by Lachlan McHugh, who has taken the highest honors in Sprintcars being a Classic & National Champion, along with a recent Kings Challenge victory in an impressive 2025/26 season for the Queenslander.

The depth doesn’t stop there — Daniel Pestka, a proven front-runner and former SRA Series Champion, enters a field packed with elite talent.

Adding to the excitement, Jordyn Charge returns to The Place For Pace after picking up one of the biggest wins of his career during Speedweek — earlier in the season and this time, he’s joined by his brother Cody Charge, making his Sprintcar debut as the 360/LS Sprintcars contest the little showdown Saturday night.
