The iconic Easter Sprintcar Trail is set for a huge lift in 2026, with $10,000 to win each night and a massive prize pool across the three-night spectacular at Avalon Raceway, Borderline Speedway and Premier Speedway.
With nominations now open, the early names already confirmed are turning heads.
Fresh off his Great Southern Showdown victory on the weekend, Jordyn Charge heads to Avalon Raceway on Good Friday full of confidence as he looks to take on some of the country’s best and continue his hot form.
Among them is James McFadden, who needs no introduction to the Avalon faithful. McFadden heads to Avalon fresh off a feature race win in the Interstate Batteries High Limit Series at Central Arizona Raceway last weekend, and he will be one to watch once again. Last season, “J-Mac” and the Team Brady car achieved the rare feat of winning both the Australian Sprintcar Championship and the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic in the same calendar year — a milestone not reached since Garry Rush in 1990.
A hugely popular figure among race fans, two-time and reigning Australian Champion Jock Goodyer will continue his campaign through Victoria and South Australia following his recent national title win at Borderline Speedway, which adds to an already impressive season with wins also at Gladstone, Toowoomba & Warrambool.
South Australia will be strongly represented, with Brock Hallett adding his name to the field. A former Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic champion and the newly crowned Victorian Sprintcar Champion, Hallett brings plenty of credentials into the 2026 Easter Sprintcar Trail.
Luke Storer, who is also a part of the early nominations, enters the Easter Sprintcar Trail with momentum on his side after recording a podium finish at Avalon Raceway over the weekend.
Perhaps the biggest early talking point — the boosted prizemoney has also caught the attention of American star Thomas “T-Mez” Meseraull, who has confirmed his intentions to contest all three nights, making his way over from Indiana to drive for Brett Smith.
