AUS 1 JOINS A ROYAL 35 CAR FIELD FOR PRESIDENTS CUP 2021

With sprintcar season well back underway at Avalon Raceway in 2021, the Presidents Cup is the first big stamp on the calendar. None other then the reigning Australian 410 Sprintcar Champion Jamie Veal locking the A1 into the show.

The field is stacked with numerous in form drivers already donning the podium in 2021. Darren Mollenoyux has been fast around Warrnambool, Avalon and Simpson already this season so he is always wildcard around the Lara clay banks.

V8 supercar Tickford Racing’s Cameron Waters will get his first experience of Avalon Raceway driving the Colin McQuinn V6 this Wednesday night.

James McFadden returns in the Monte Motorsport W17 for this first time this year at Avalon and is always a crowd favourite with his signature beard.

Young Tasmanian World Series Sprintcars stand out Jock Goodyer has also confirmed entry to this will be sell-out event aboard his faithful T22.

Michael Tancredi, the 2020 Australian Sprintcar All Stars Series champion has booked his intentions to shake things up strapping in the 410 cubic inch motor and swapping out his usual 360 ci ride in the V29.

With the Toowoomba Grand final win freshly under his belt, New South Welshman Marcus Dumesney brings his Valvoline N47 Hotrod into the park to take on Victoria’s Best locals.

Robbie Farr straps into the V88 Racing Team Machine for Matty Eastham bringing with them a lifetime of experience between car, driver and crew being a red hot chance at taking out the main event.

The iconic Downing Brothers Orange S97 rolls into town with none other than David Murcott at the helm, a formidable pairing with the team and driver to go all the way.

All of these and so many more fill out the growing 35 car field set to dawn on Avalon Raceway this Wednesday January 20 to kick-start a mouth watering week of speedway leading into Borderline Speedway’s Kings Challenge, and Premier Speedway’s 50 for 50 event.

A stout field of Street Stock action will play support for the 410 Presidents Cup with drivers bustling for the all elusive main event win in front of a packed house.

Ballarat’s Jayden Blomeley is among the list of strong hopefuls in his B62 bullet, set with one thing on his mind. Victory.

Past Avalon Raceway Street Stock track champion Brad McClure is no stranger to the winners circle at this event and will be hard to go past as a favourite. He also hangs up the helmet at the end of the season so will be a fitting send off to a 30 year career if the RDL24 finds victory lane.

Young Tyler Barton has locked the AX94 into the event for his first time wheeling the Street Stock around Avalon’s high banks.

This event will sell out so please get yourself tickets from avalonraceway.com.au and save disappointment at the gate. A strict cap of 3000 patrons will be enforced, along with mandatory social distancing and masks in crowded areas also being guarded. We also urge you to please do a self symptom check at home before leaving and if you show any signs of being unwell please stay home.

We also ask that if you are entering the Pit area on the night to please jump on the speedway Australia app or website and sign the indemnity waiver in advance to save wait times at the gate line up. Tickets are now Available and will close at 4pm on raceday if not prior to a sell out.
