Geelong football club captain’s room was the scene of track champion’s presentation night, the night kicked off early to present Kye Walters his Max Fry Smash Repairs Modified Production Track Champion. Kye’s award was 1st up so as he could return to his 18th Birthday party his championship was special as it was his 1st year in open completion since moving from juniors, next up was the Garden City Wreckers Street Stocks championship where Bacchus Marsh’s David Barrie came out on top. Bendigo’s Lucas Roberts claimed the I & J Speedway Equipment Super Sedan Title.

Salt Electricals’ Peter Green presented Daniel Storer with his award and spoke about how tough the wingless competition is and getting more competitive each year. Steve Milthorpe capped of his season with the Rocket Signs V8 Dirt Modified award, while Corey Deglitis took home the Lupton Builders Super Rod Silverware. The superb security Speedcar Track Championship was claimed by open wheel supreme Domain Ramsey who spoke about the season coming up and how there is an increase in the speedcar ranks.

Dale Mathews of Extreme Sprintcar Experience took the opportunity to award John Brown an impressive appreciation award. Next up was the 2nd place in the Essendon Ford Sprintcar Track championship that saw John Vogels receive a J & J Chassis kit courtesy of Dave Challon’s Camden Building and Signage group. John spoke of how tough the competition was and how close he came to claiming the main prize. That honour went to newly crowned SRA champ Brett Milburn at the season end a mere 15 points separated Milburn from Vogels. Michelle Jordinson stepped in for an ill David Dickson to present Brett with the keys to his Brand New Ford Fiesta. Brett also commented on how close it was at the end and how Vogel’s never say die attitude on Good Friday almost cost him the car as Vogels come from the B main transfer to the A there had a good run to close up 15 points and how a couple of more places by Vogels would have made him a bridesmaid again. Michelle the proceed to tell everyone on behalf of David Dickson and Essendon Ford that they will are back on board for next year’s Track Championship, which meet with a resounding applause host Brian Alexander closed out the evening tanking all in attendance all Track sponsors, Officials, Volunteers, race teams and fans for an enjoyable 15-16 season and looking forward to season 2016-2017.
