AVALON RACEWAY REVS UP FOR $10,000

The Annual Combined Waste $10,000 Sprintcar Jackpot event takes to Avalon Raceway this Saturday night November 9.

The invitational event will feature Australia’s best in-form drivers from all corners of the country set on the $10,000 feature race prize.

With drivers needing a race win under their belt from the 2018/19 season at Avalon to qualify for the race meeting, it is a hard fought battle that leaves no questions unanswered on the track. Throw in over half a dozen wildcard entries also, hand picked by the Raceway to provide the best possible spectacle.

Defending jackpot champion Steven Lines, will return to the hallowed ground with hopes of a miraculous back to back feat.

Providing no walk-in-the-park for Lines though, is Eureka Garages Round 1 and 2 winner, Grant Anderson who has been commanding in all appearances so far this season.

Crowd favourite and heavy World Series Sprintcars contender, James Mcfadden is fresh off an Australian winter in the USA touring tracks across the country with success following him closely. The world famous Knoxville Nationals was a highlight achievement where Mcfadden took out the 360 cubic inch class win.

Jamie Veal is accustomed to feature wins at the place for pace, after winning the Avalon Raceway track championship in season 2018/19. Veal, along with an A-list of seasoned drivers and young guns will battle it out in what will be a showstopping night of racing.

The race format will go back to a more traditional running, with a 30 lap feature race to decide the $10,000 prize to the winner.

Wingless Sprintcars will also dawn on Avalon, as part of the Salt Electrical Wingless series. An invitational list also features heavy hitters from across the border, with drivers like Mitchell Broome and Kirby Hillyer travelling interstate from Mount Gambier. Reigning Avalon Invitational winner, Travis Millar is back aboard the V2 with hopes of two in a row. Dayn Bentvelzen, who took glory in the Wingless Super Series at Avalon on October 26 will be on a hot streak as he takes to Avalon Raceway For the second time this season.

Gates open 3:30pm, pit walk from 4 until 5pm. Engine starts from 6 and Racing from 7pm. Entry for Adults $30, children 12-16 $15, children 11 and under free with adults, concession $25. Be there.
