Starting anywhere near the front row in Saturday night’s Sprintcar Jackpot at Avalon Raceway is enough to make any driver salivate over a likely ten grand winner’s cheque.
James McFadden is no different to any other driver in the qualifying line up.
He has pounded the ground on every WSS track in Australia as well as America’s biggest and toughest World of Outlaws and All Star venues.
And the driver of the Total Workwear #25 sprintcar can’t wait to get involved in Saturday night’s unique Jackpot event with its twists and turns.
“We will hit the track with a calculated fuel load, a snappy rear-end gear ratio and fresh tyres to put us in the game,” he predicted.
Thirty two drivers will contest the two 25 lap qualifying races and semi finals from which the top 12 will undergo a time trial with the fastest 10 making up the field for the 12 lap helter skelter final.
“This is unlike any other big money race we run in Australia or the US and it’s unique to Avalon,” J Mac confirmed this week.
A new 12 lap distance record is likely to se set on Saturday night because of the quality of the field.
Admission prices on Saturday are Adults $30, Juniors 13-16 $10 and kids 12 and under free.

Car parking is free while the floodlights turn on at six o’clock with all the action from 7.00 p.m.
