The Avalon mail bag delivered a little bit of gold this week as Tim Van Ginneken became the first to send in a driver acceptance for the 2017 Combined Waste – Jackpot Invitational.

TVG debuted in a Sprintcar in 2011 as a 25 year old having already proven his racing heritage and has continued to give race fans so much enjoyment.

A quick snapshot of TVG tells us he has won the WA title in 2015, then backed it up in 2016 and just 2 months ago claimed the NT title.

For fans closer to home, TVG and Darren Mollenoyux delivered a nail biting finish to the Avalon Raceway Track championship of 1016-17. On Good Friday, in front of a packed house, it was the race within a race and the final that will be remembered for who finished 2nd and 3rd to take home a car.

“It’s in the family, it’s in the blood,” Van Ginneken said of his passion.

The 2017 Combined Waste – Jackpot Invitational will feature at Avalon Raceway on November 11 and with this as the first confirmation received, you know it will be a massive night.
