Robbie Farr has his sights set on a front row start in the Sprintcar Jackpot final that highlights the start of a memorable season at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway this Saturday night.
A hard nosed realist in the unpredictable world of sprintcar racing, Farr reasons to start further back than fifth in the 12 car field gives a driver little chance of winning.
“To win the Jackpot you have to drive the wheels off your machine in the two qualifying races and set quick time to be sure of a good starting spot in the 10 lap final,” the dual national sprint and speedcar champion said today.
“If you can do that and make the first two rows in the Jackpot final you had better get your elbows up for ten grand,” he added.
By this time each year Farr usually has two or three main event wins to his credit, but his only success this summer has been a lone feature win at the Brisbane Speedway
Don’t write him off though as the man they call superstar Robbie Farr is not known for taking prisoners on the tight and tough ovals like the place for pace.
The Combined Waste sponsored Jackpot heralds the start of the new season this Saturday night.
