The race may have finished with a couple of question marks but Saturday night’s Beasley Memorial was confirmed with Paul Farrell the winner.
In all the confusion with Domain Ramsey coming off the back of the field to lead into the final lap and then overcook one corner, Farrell slipped through to lead to the flag.
Andy Pearce took second with Troy Jordan third.
Jordan then filed a protest against the winner, claiming he had been worked over in a corner by the winner.
Officials then met to rule on the protest which was denied and Farrell was declared the winner.
It was a ripper of a race and congrats go to Farrell with special mention to Domain Ramsey who was a one man show in traffic and deserved better than not to finish on the podium.
Alf and Stud would have been pleased with the tenacity shown by all the finalists.
