Sick and tired of reading about a young lady ready to embark on a speedway career and who is ready to make the boys eat her dirt?
Just about every young lady who has ventured on to the speedway receives the same razzle dazzle story.
One could even suggest it goes with the territory.
Well, don’t start with the femme fatale talk in front of 26 year-old Jessica Moulden, the Australian Formula 500 champion.
On Saturday night she will climb into Ian Gosling’s beautifully prepared wingless sprinter and move up a division in the competition stakes.
Here is a category that has attracted more women racers than any other and on Saturday Jess will be flanked by Ebony Hobson, a former V8 modified racer and wingless regular Bianca Reeves.
Wingless sprintcar spokesman Troy Small believes Jessica could go all the way in the wingless category.
“She is immensely talented, understands car control and how tracks differ during the night and you have to remember she has runs on the board too,” said Troy.
The guys have a chance to keep their roles as male enforcers, particularly Sam Wren, Andy Hibbert and Rhys Baxter.
They will all charge under the green flag in the Salt Electrical wingless premiership round over 20 laps.
V8 super sedan and the super competitive Formula 500 cars will split the bill with the wingless sprintcars at Avalon Raceway on Saturday night with the first race scheduled for 7.00 p.m.
