Avalon Raceway will now prepare for another huge event this Saturday night with the annual K-Rock Cup for Super Sedans plus Super Rods will also be in action. No doubt the running of the Demolition Derby will also draw massive interest as the season continues with a number of great events on the horizon.
This Saturday night’s K-Rock Cup is always a family friendly event with several special events to highlight the night. It’s been a busy few days for the venue with Boxing Day’s Sprintcar event a success along with Sunday night’s World Series Sprintcars event also proving popular with the patrons.
US import Jason Johnson went onto score a strong $10,000 win in the Enzed World Series Sprintcars event held at Avalon Raceway last night before a massive crowd who enjoyed a great night’s racing. Johnson’s win came ahead of James McFadden with Tim Kaeding rounding out the top 3 with Matthew Reed and David Murcott in tow.
In the process of finishing fifth, Murcott managed to extend his lead in the Essendon Ford Sprintcar track championship with a solid top 5 result that backs up his win on Boxing Night at the venue.
