Avalon Raceway celebrated ‘Retro Round’ Saturday night with great racing and spirited displays. The Geelong Speedway Revival brought Vintage Speedway to the public with Vintage Sprintcar/Super Modifieds, Speedcar, Stock Rods/Saloons and the Hell Raisers from the Ace Of Spades crew.

Avalon also hosted the 27th running of the Beasley Family Memorial for Speedcars. The heats brought fast racing, lots of passing and plenty of drama. In the final, Dayne Kingshott took the lead from from Travis Mills prior to the halfway point and never looked back. A succession of yellows didn’t effect Dayne’s focus and at the end he was joined on the podium by Kaiden Brown for 2nd and Robert Mackay for 3rd.

The street stocks gave the crowd great entertainment and their 20 lap feature was action packed.

Our next event is the Fireball Derby for Sprintcars on December 9th.
