March Madness thanks to Panther Tyres Lara was wall to wall racing on Saturday night at Avalon Raceway. 5 divisions, some 82 teams and 3 named races, delivered speedway at its best for an excited crowd.
In a race of attrition, Skips Race for Speedcars ended in spectacular fashion under red flag conditions with V10 Travis Mills flipping out of corner 4 with 7 laps to go. The podium was V27 Dhillon Ghent with V6 Harley Bishop, V20 Chris Nankiville, V8 Jack Day and V55 Toby Smith.
The Bruce Riddiford Classic for Street Stocks was elbows out racing all the way. The win went to A41 Darren Forrest with M4 Morris Ahern and C83 David Barrie taking 2nd and 3rd.
The AMCA’s raced for the Barry Reidy Memorial with V34/SA1 Jamie Collins victorious from V79 Tim Reidy and T26 Andrew Ryder.
Super Rods entertained with 1 Andrew Howard taking the checkers from 98 Ewan McKenzie and 88 Howard Stansfield.
GP Midgets completed the line up with 51 Danny Stainer taking the win from 1 Trevor Perry and 50 Jason Crawford.
