Tasmanian driver Mark House has joined the qualifying field for Saturday night’s $10.000 to win Sprintcar Jackpot that will launch the new season at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway.
House will take the place of either Grant Anderson or Luke Dillon who have encountered engine or logistical problems making it to the track this weekend.
House will come in to the line up as a wildcard and joins fellow Tasmanian Shaun Dobson as a real threat.
“Mark is a real goer and it will be good to have a second driver from Tasmania representing our State,” Dobson commented.
“Two drivers had engine problems at Moama on the weekend and that has put a question mark alongside their names,” said Raceway spokesman Jeff Drew today.
The top end of the field remains intact with David Murcott, James McFadden, Jamie Veal, Steven Lines, Robbie Farr, Daniel Pestka, Darren Mollenoyux and Johnny Vogels itching to get their hands on the ten grand winner’s slice of the action.
Saturday night’s meeting starts at 7.00 p.m.
