SPRINTCAR DROUGHT IS OVER AT PLACE FOR PACE

AVALON RACEWAY
OFFICIAL RELEASE
JAN 5 2021

This Saturday night January 9, marks a major stamp on the 2021 calendar with the much anticipated return to racing. The Avalon Return from Lockdown Cup for Sprintcars and the Modified Sedan West Coast Classic are rearing to rock Lara’s Bullring.
A star studded sprintcar list includes none other than the V90 of Corey Mccullagh, who almost kicked off his 2021 with a win after surrendering for a second place finish and QuickTime in his flight. Darryn Mollenoyux was equally fast the same night at Warrnambool finishing up in 3rd place behind Mccullagh and Veal.
The V8 of Bobby Daly will shape up aiming to make 2021 his most successful season yet after causing some major upsets to the veterans of the category in 2020.
Daniel Pestka aboard his faithful S27 has locked in, also checking off his first win of the season at Tolmer Speedway Bordertown over New Years.
Jordyn Charge will rock the new look V60 around Avalon with eyes on the prize after a successful stint in the Eureka Garages SRA Series last season.
“Fast Eddie” Lumbar, “The Gun” Grant Anderson, Tate Frost and Brett “The Jet” Milburn, just to name a few, are among the host of possible race winners, come chequered flag time this Saturday.
The Modified Sedan West Coast Classic is always a highly anticipated event on the calendar and this year will be no different. An A-Grade line-up featuring Brooke Ferguson in the P18 making her Modified Sedan debut at Avalon will be one to keep eyes on.
Brodie Chrystie will be a hot contender in his formidable AX32, looking to back up a successful stint through the VMPA and state titles in 2020.
Bendigo’s Graham West has locked in the B56 LJ Torana into the big dance and joins his fellow classmates in the Modifieds, Nick Hill, Cameron Dike and Chris Rieck all with the same intention. Victory.
Hotly shaping up to be a fierce return to methanol burning action, this is an event for the family not to be missed.
There will be A strict Covid plan in place and seating will be controlled to guarantee the safety of all crew and spectators in the return to the place for pace.
Gates open from 4:30pm, Hot Laps from 6 and Racing from 7. Tickets online at avalonraceway.com.au
