Wings of a different kind at Avalon Raceway this weekend.

A different set of wings will be flying over Avalon Raceway this weekend as Avalon Airshow 2017 kicks into gear.
As in previous years, we will be opening our car park, giving local families the chance to catch a glimps of some amazing airplanes.
There are a few important things to remember first.
1. there will be donation tins at the entrance gate, we ask you throw in a gold coin donation which will be given directly to the Children’s ward at the Geelong Hospital.
2. there is no access to toilets, it is the car park that will be open, not the venue.
3. parking on access roads is prohibited, please be mindful of workers entering the venue.
4. the carpark will be open Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday.
5. take what you bring, do not leave your rubbish behind.
6. we are hosting a speedway race meeting on Saturday afternoon and a junior event on Sunday morning, please give these competitors right of way.
7. there will be no access to the venue unless you are competing in the stated events.

All are welcome and when consideration is given to the above, it’s a great chance to see an amazing event in our own backyard.
Don’t forget we are hosting the Great Southern Showdown, part of the Eureka Sprintcar Series on Saturday, gates open at 3.30. Pitwalk 3.30-4.30. racing from 6.45.
