The Australian 360-LS Sprintcar Championship is coming to Avalon Raceway from April 1 to 3, 2027.
With the amazing support of C & H Trucking and Dirt X Industries, the ever expanding 360-LS Sprintcar Division is sure to attract class field of teams and competitors to Avalon Raceway.
In recent times, Avalon Raceway has attracted large 360-LS Sprintcar fields, on the back of hosting regular events for the division at the Lara venue.
The 360-LS Sprintcar Championship, under its former guise of Pro Sprint Cars as recently as 2024 held their Australian Championship at Avalon Raceway, an event that saw Jock Goodyer, who was driving for Domain Ramsay, make a last lap pass on Victoria’s Jake Smith to claim victory, with Tim Van Ginneken filling the podium with a third-place finish.
Just over a month ago, April 18, 2026, Rusty Hickman celebrated a Victorian Title win at the same venue at a re-scheduled event that shared the bill with the Annual 360-LS Sprintcars Diggers Cup, an event that attracted a field of 45 cars.
The defending Australian 360-LS Sprintcar Champion will be Ryan Newton courtesy of a hotly contested Australian Championship finale, which was held at Toowoomba in March.
Jy Corbett and Jacob Jolley filled the podium in a star-studded field.
“As is the case for the Formula 500 Australian Championship, we are privileged to have the 360-LS Sprintcar Australian Championship at Avalon Raceway come April 2027 and we are even luckier to have the support of C&H Trucking and Dirt X Industries for what promises to be a huge weekend of 360-LS Sprintcar Racing”, Speedway Operations Manager David Mills said.
“Night one will have AMCA’s running in support of the full 360-LS Sprintcar Program, while the Super Sedans will be a part of Championship night on Saturday April 3, 2027”, Mills added.
With a big field of cars expected in April 2027 for the Australian Championship, and a practice night and Calcutta to kick off festivities on Thursday April 1, Avalon Raceway will be a prime destination for many, especially given the scheduling to align with the Victorian School Holiday period.
The C&H Trucking, Dirt X Industries Australian 360-LS Sprintcar Championship schedule is:
Thursday April 1, 2027 – Practice and Calcutta
Friday April 2, 2027 – Night One and AMCA’s
Saturday April 3, 2027 – Championship Night and Super Sedans
