Avalon Raceway is excited to announce that it’s partnership with APCO Service Stations Pty. Ltd will extend into the rapidly approaching 2026-27 season.
As announced at the signing of the original agreement, the partnership is defined by geography, with Ron & Margaret Anderson opening their first APCO in Warrnambool in 1968 which is still in operation today, and the first Geelong site then opening in 1980.
APCO has now evolved to specialise not only in fuel, but also grocery convenience in all stores and Anderson’s Supermarkets in 11 APCO stores offering competitive supermarket pricing, as well as a food service offering. Cafe24-7 also offers award winning barista made coffee and on-the-go food items which is music to the ears of the amazingly loyal Speedway fans who visit Avalon Raceway each and every season.
With locations in and around Geelong including Barwon Heads, East Geelong, South Geelong, Grovedale, Mt Duneed, Newcomb, North Geelong, Waurn Ponds and right by Avalon Raceway in Lara, travelling Speedway fans will be well catered for 24/7 anytime day or night, perfect for after race meets!
For this travelling from further afield, all of the great offerings of cafe24-7 are also available at a number of regional centers throughout Victoria, including but not limited to Alfredton (Ballarat), Ballarat (Main Road), Ballarat (Skipton Street), Kangaroo Flat (Bendigo), Bendigo (Strathdale), Bendigo (brand new White Hills location), Bacchus Marsh, Bairnsdale, Cranbourne, Cranbourne West, Epping, Hoppers Crossing, Mildura, Shepparton, Thomastown, Wagga Wagga (NSW), Wangaratta, Warrnambool and Wodonga.
“One of our goals at Avalon Raceway has been to form partnerships with quality organisations so to have APCO on board and being able to extend this partnership with them is exciting and really suits our Speedway community, whether that’s the drivers and teams or the spectators, because when you look at what we can offer for those visiting Avalon Raceway and Geelong, or for those travelling to other venues, whether it be in Warrnambool, Bairnsdale, Wangaratta, Mildura, Ballarat, Wagga Wagga or their newest site in Mount Gambier, the one constant is that APCO is there 24-7”, Avalon Raceway Speedway Operations Manager David Mills said.
“We look forward to continuing this partnership into the future and ask that our greater Speedway community continue to support those that support us, by choosing APCO when practical to do so for their next tank of fuel, a snack or event just a coffee”, he added.
APCO’s Strategic Partnerships and Events Lead, Jess Guareschi was also excited to be a part of the Avalon raceway family.
Jess Guareschi, Strategic Partnerships & Event Lead of APCO Service Stations, was equally positive about the partnership announcement, stating, “APCO Service Stations cafe24-7 are proud to be partnering with Avalon Raceway! As two proud locals, this collaboration perfectly reflects our shared commitment to community spirit and connection. We’re thrilled to be fuelling the excitement of race teams and fans alike for a second straight season and look forward to welcoming all to any of our locations for barista made coffee, fresh food and friendly service.
