In recent season the Avalon Raceway Sprintcar Track Championship has been a hotly contested multi-round series within the Avalon Speedway season.
The Track Championship’s success has been driven by the support of valued partners, including David Dickson, whose backing through Essendon Ford helped elevate the series to new heights over several seasons.
Since then, having first dipped their toe, or in their case tow, in the water with the Gavin White inspired Sprintcar International Event as we all exited the COVID experience, Warwick Doolan and his team at Doolan’s Heavy Haulage have become a house hold name with a legion of Avalon Raceway race fans, courtesy of their support of the Sprintcar Track Championship.
With the support of Doolan’s Heavy Haulage and the Track Championship supporting partners, Camden Signage and Building Services, Transall Motors and NAPA Geelong, young gun Jordyn Charge was able to walk away with a cool $10,000.00 pay day as the 2025-26 Track Champion.
However, it was not only Jordyn who was rewarded for his consistency throughout the season, as $30,000.00 in total Track Championship purse funds were directed the way of the top ten in points.
As planning for the 2026-27 Avalon Raceway continues, the on-going commitment from Doolan’s Heavy Haulage has ensured that the Track Championship will be back again this coming season.
“To have Warwick and the Team back on board for season 2026-27 was once again a major priority for us”, Speedway Operations Manager David Mills said.
“Doolan’s support is crucial to Avalon Raceway being able to offer the Track Championship to our competitors, as is the support of our supporting partners Camden Signage and Building Services, Transall Motors, NAPA Geelong and also Penrite Oil, who will increase their footprint on what we do this coming season”, he added.
